For an electric stove doesn’t start, check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, then some other part of the oven will have to be repaired. The cause of the issue could be an infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.
A burner or stove or oven without heat won’t do much. An oven won’t heat if there’s a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner will not heat when an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and repair these common problems in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.
You can assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we are able to replace control panels on LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on all of the control panels and parts we use for this type of stove repair service.
You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the heat is too hot, it could be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to diagnose the reason for the issue and then repair it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.
A reoccurring stove problem is when an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or sensor. We will determine if we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the part.
Newer self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open and then complete the necessary repair so we can fix the problem.
